Hi! My name is Sam, I come from over 20 years of water instruction. I began swimming at the age of 4 and swam competitively through college, at George Mason University. I have a wealth of knowledge, from infant survival skills to college swimming and stroke technique. I absolutely love what I do! I enjoy helping children learn the water. I love seeing the smiles on parents faces when there child places there face in the water, for the first time. During the summer, I will be primarily at Chesapeake Golf Club teaching ISR and Group Lessons in June and July.
Hi my name is Julia! I began swimming at the age of 6 and continue to swim at a USA level, with ECAT. I have attended many championship meets throughout my high school career. I will also be swimming at the collegiate level, in the fall, at Berry College. For the past three years, I have been coaching the Riverwalk Gator Swim Team. Sam has coached me for three years, at Oscar Smith High School. She understands my passion, for swimming. I am super excited to be part of Spindlebeak and continue to teach and share my love and passion of swimming to many more children! I will mostly be at Chesapeake Golf Club, during the summer, teaching group and private lessons.
Hi my name is Gabby! I love kids because they are always happy and friendly. Kids never fail to make you smile and they are so loving towards everyone! I started swimming competitively in high school, my freshman year, and my coach was patient and taught me new skills, with swimming. I want to pay it forward. I hope to teach other kids how to swim and to love to water. I joined Sam in 2018, working with Horizons of Hampton Roads and being in the water with Sam, teaching group lessons. I support Spindlebeak and what we offer because teaching a child how to swim is a gift, in itself. I will mostly be at Great Bridge Swim & Racquet Club, during the summer, teaching group and private lessons.
Hi! My name is Kaitlin, and this will be my third summer teaching swim lessons with Spindlebeak! I began swimming when I was four years old and continued to swim through high school, on the varsity team. I love working with kids and helping them learn how to feel comfortable and confident, in the water. I have been on the Horizons of Hampton Roads team for three years as well as been in the water, teaching Sam's kids how to swim!
